Once again, Bice’s Chef Elmer Saravia is teaming up with South Florida culinary personality Maude Eaton, known as “The Diva” among her friends and followers of her For the Love of Food consulting and South Florida Foodies blog.
Bice’s Chef Elmer Saravia and culinary “diva” Maude Eaton are hosting an Aug. 6 cooking demo-and-dinner event at Palm Beach’s Bice.
They’re joining forces for the final summertime cooking demo-and-dinner event at Bice (313 ½ Worth Ave., Via Bice; www.bice.com/palm-beach) on Aug. 6, marking the third time the duo has led such affairs since June.
“…Each time we do our events, there is so much laughter, delicious food and incredible wines,” says Eaton. “That’s what I call a recipe for a memorable evening. I’m looking forward to planning more culinary events (at Bice) for this fall and during the season, so stay tuned because it is, after all, for the love of food!”
The event next Wednesday at Bice starts at 5:30 p.m. with a complimentary per-person cocktail—a choice of prosecco or martini—and complimentary bar bites.
The cooking demo and dinner, 6-8 p.m., features such wine-paired dishes as seafood salad (shrimp, scallops and calamari with seasonal vegetables and citrus vinaigrette), orecchiette “alla Barresse” with Italian sausage, and grilled branzino served with braised fennel, sundried tomatoes and olive pesto.
Dessert: banana- and Nutella-filled warm crepes topped with ice cream.
The event, which includes wine with dinner, is $67 a person; space is limited.
